ANANTA MEDICARE LTD. has registered in Ukraine, a new product - "Sildenafil Ananta", a medicinal product for erectile dysfunction in men.

By the MoH Order №872 dated 19 August 2016 in Ukraine, ANANTA MEDICARE LTD. has registered a new medicinal product used for erectile dysfunction: Sildenafil 50 Ananta, 50 mg tablets №4; Sildenafil 100 Ananta, 100 mg tablets №4.

This medicinal product is an analog (generic) of original medicinal product for erectile dysfunction in men; it contains an active substance Sildenafil citrate. The medicinal product is recommended for men with erectile dysfunction defined as an inability to achieve or maintain penile erection, which is necessary for successful sexual intercourse.

The history of creation of the original medicinal product is very interesting. Sildenafil citrate was originally studied as a preparation for hypertension (high blood pressure) and stenocardia (a symptom of ischemic heart disease). During the first phase of clinical trials, it was found that the preparation has little effect on stenocardia, but at the same time it may cause the improvement of erectile dysfunction in men.

After the 2nd phase of clinical trials, Sildenafil didn’t confirm expectations for its use in the treatment of stenocardia. Therefore, the development company has decided to change the course of study and continued to study the properties of the preparation for erectile disorders. In 1996 the medicinal product received a patent, and in March 1998 it was approved by the US FDA. After that, the medicinal product Sildenafil citrate became the first approved oral treatment for erectile dysfunction in the US and it was on sale in the same year.

The medicinal product became available on Ukrainian market in 2003. During 10 years, there were appeared many other medicinal products which active ingredients are directed at fighting disorders of intimate men’s life. Despite all of this the medicinal product sildenafil is still popular in the world and its level of sales is measured in billions of dollars.
