The All-Ukrainian competition of powerlifting athletes took place on March 21, 2021 in Kharkiv. Today, thanks to WRF KRAWA Powerlifting Federation, under the leadership of Vladislav Kravchenko, not only professionals and veteran masters of this sport take part in the competition, but also amateur juniors aged 12 and over. Each meeting takes place in professional rooms, in the presence of doctors, due to the high risk of injuries caused by excessive efforts in the competition.
Injuries in powerlifting are quite common, namely the lumbar zone injuries - 23.1%, knee injuries - 19.1% and shoulder injuries - 17.7%. The shoulder joints are most exposed to constant stress during training. This causes pain in the shoulders, especially when performing jerks, so the athletes should always follow the trainer’s and doctor’s recommendations.
In case of ligamentous apparatus injury, or an inflammatory process in the soft tissues of the musculoskeletal system or the joint itself, we recommend to use Artikon®, a complex drinking chondroprotector, which helps to normalize the functioning of the musculoskeletal system during increased physical exertion.
