EU countries will shorten the validity of Covid certificates
The governments of the EU member states claim that a unified approach is required to avoid disruptions in the tourism industry. Today, different rules are set depending on the country.
Negotiations regarding third-country nationals are still in process. France shortens the validity of the certificates to 7 months. The rules will come into effect on 15th of January. The same situation is in Cyprus. In Greece, the certificate will be valid for six months only for the elderly.
