Scientists have revealed plastic particles in human bodies
According to a new research by the University of Arizona, microscopic plastic particles can be found in virtually all filter organs. Plastic contamination was confirmed on donor lung, liver and kidney tissue. The compounds secreted by these particles can trigger the development of diabetes, infertility and sexual dysfunction. Also, these particles can be carcinogenic and may cause inflammation and cancer as well.
Previous studies have shown that, on average, people eat about 5 grams of plastic every week. The particles themselves are so small that they can get from the digestive system into the blood. In this regard, they are carried throughout the body and deposited on all filtration organs. These particles are less than 5 millimeters in diameter and can be found in tap water, bottled water, air and food as well.
