HERBAL COUGH SYRUP FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS

 

Each 5 ml of syrup contain:

Ocimum sanctum – 200 mg

Adhatoda vasica leaf – 200 mg

Glycyrrhiza glabra root – 200 mg

Terminalia belerica fruit – 100 mg

Curcuma longa rhizome – 75 mg

Zingiber officinale rhizome – 50 mg

Zizyphus sativa fruit – 50 mg

Pistacia integerrima gall – 50 mg

Piper nigrum fruit – 50 mg

Piper cubeba fruit – 50 mg

Hedychium spicatum root – 50 mg

Piper longum fruit – 50 mg

Ammonium chloride – 5 mg

 

Excipients: purified water, sugar, sorbitol sweetener, propylene glycol emulsifier, sodium benzoate preservative, basil flavour, xanthan gum thickener, menthol flavour.

 

Characteristics of ingredients:

Ocimum sanctum has an expectorant effect, and promotes the excretion of sputum. The plant reduces inflammation of the nasal mucosa. It exhibits antibacterial, antiviral, anti-allergic and antifungal effects.

Basil helps to reduce the temperature due to its antipyretic properties. Due to the effect on humoral and cellular immunity, it helps to boost the immune system. Also it promotes good respiratory health.

Adhatoda vasica helps to thin thick sputum. Due to vasicin, it inhibits the secretion of bronchial mucus, improves the motor activity of the ciliated epithelium of the bronchi and accelerates the discharge of sputum.

Glycyrrhiza glabra has expectorant and soothing effects on coughing, and stimulates mucus secretion as well. It reduces irritation of the pharynx, throat and upper respiratory tract. Also it has anti-allergic, antimicrobial and antiviral effects.

Terminalia belerica has an antitussive effect and has an antimicrobial activity.

Curcuma longa reduces an allergic inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. Also, it has an antimicrobial activity and modulates immunity.

Zingiber officinale has an anti-rhinovirus activity and antipyretic, antibacterial and antitussive effects.

Zizyphus sativa has antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-allergic effects.

Pistacia integerrima has antipyretic properties, and improves the course of productive cough.

Piper nigrum enhances the activity of Adhatoda vasica extract, thereby potentiating its properties.

Piper cubeba has an antimicrobial effect against many bacteria. It has an anti-allergic effect and helps to inhibit inflammatory processes.

Hedychium spicatum has bronchodilator, anti-allergic and antioxidant effects.

Piper longum improves the immune system due to the activation of macrophages. It has antimicrobial and antioxidant effects.

Recommendations for use: the product can be recommended as a source of biologically active substances of herbal origin:

• to improve the expectoration;
• to relieve the throat irritation when coughing;
• to maintain optimal quality of life and health in the cold.

It is recommended to consult your doctor before use.

 

Directions: take orally after meals. Shake well before use.

Take the product under the following table:

Children aged 6 to 12  years	5 ml
Children over 12 years of age and adults	10 ml

 

Duration of use: 5 - 7 days. The further period of use and possibility of repeated courses should be discussed with your doctor.

Precautions for use: the product must not be used for people with individual hypersensitivity to the components, children under 3 years of age, pregnant and lactating women.

The product contains sugar, which should be taken into consideration in diabetic patients.

Warnings: do not exceed the recommended daily dose (serving). The product is not a substitute for a balanced diet.

Release form: 100 ml herbal syrup in a flask

Storage: store in a place protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C in the original manufacturer’s packaging.

(HONEY AND LEMON FLAVOUR)

 

Composition: 1 lozenge contains:

Piper longum fruit extract – 25 mg,

Glycyrrhiza glabra root extract – 20 mg,

Alpinia galangal rhizome extract – 20 mg,

Zingiber officinale rhizome extract – 10 mg,

Emblica officinalis fruit extract – 10 mg,

Mentha arvensis leaf extract – 5 mg,

Ocimum sanctum leaf extract – 5 mg,

Adhatoda vasica leaf extract – 5 mg.

 

Excipients: sugar, liquid glucose, citric acid sequestrant, tartrazine colourant, honey flavour, lemon flavour, purified water.

Characteristics of ingredients.

Piper longum exerts an antimicrobial activity against different microorganisms, and has antioxidant properties and an immunostimulating effect as well.

Alpinia galangal exerts an antimicrobial activity against a wide range of microorganisms and exhibits an anti-inflammatory action.

Glycyrrhiza glabra has a mucolytic action, eliminates irritation in the throat and exhibits an expectorant effect due to the stimulation of bronchial glands secretion.

Zingiber officinale has an antioxidant activity due to the inhibition of free radicals, and slows down the aging process as well. In addition, ginger inhibits the activity of mediators in the inflammation site.

Emblica officinalis exhibits an antitussive effect. It also suppresses inflammatory processes and has an antipyretic effect.

Ocimum sanctum has antimicrobial, antiviral, antioxidant and immunostimulating effects.

Adhatoda vasica exhibits an antitussive effect by diluting sputum and facilitates the expectoration. Adhatoda extract has an anti-inflammatory effect on the respiratory tract mucosa and has antioxidant properties.

Mentha arvensis has antimicrobial and antioxidant effects.

Recommendations for use: the product is an additional source of biologically active substances for a food ration. The product contributes to normalization of the respiratory tract functioning, cough attenuation and decrease of throat irritation caused by seasonal colds.

Directions: resolve lozenges till complete dissolution.
