ICELAND MOSS

ANANTA SYRUP

Composition:

1 ml of syrup contains Iceland moss (Cetraria islandica) thick extract (17:1) – 6 mg.

Excipients: purified water, sorbitol sweetener, potassium sorbate preservative, citric acid acidity regulator, xanthan gum thickener, lemon flavour.

 

Characteristics of ingredient.

The syrup contains Iceland moss extract, which has antitussive, immunostimulatory, antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects, and helps to thin mucus. The composition of Iceland moss extract includes polysaccharides (lichenin and isolichenin), and lichen acids (usnic acid). Polysaccharides form a protective layer that has a calming effect on the surface of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract. Usnic acid is active against staphylococci, streptococci and mycobacteria.

 

Recommendations for use: the product can be recommended as a source of biologically active substances of herbal origin that has expectorant and coating effects, relieves dry cough, and reduces irritation of the mucous membranes of the throat and larynx, and associated hoarseness.

Method of administration:

The product is intended for oral administration in adults and children.

Adults and children over 16 years of age: 15 ml of syrup 4 times a day (equivalent to 360 mg of Iceland moss thick extract per day).

Children from 10 to 16 years of age: 10 ml 4 times a day (equivalent to 240 mg of Iceland moss thick extract per day).

Children from 4 to 10 years of age: 5 ml 4 times a day (equivalent to 120 mg of Iceland moss thick extract per day).

Iceland moss syrup is recommended to drink with a plenty of tea or any hot drink, but no sooner than 20-30 minutes after intake.

 

Duration of use: 7 days. The further period of use and possibility of repeated courses should be discussed with your doctor.

 

Contraindications: the product is contraindicated for pregnant and breastfeeding women, children under 4 years of age and people with individual hypersensitivity to any of the components.

 

Warnings: do not to exceed the recommended daily dose (serving). The product is not a substitute for a balanced diet. Excessive consumption may cause a laxative effect.

 

Release form: syrup 150 ml in a flask in a carton.

 

Storage conditions: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C in the original manufacturer's packaging. Do not freeze.

Keep out of reach of children.

 

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture.
