Composition: 1 sachet contains: lactitol – 10 g, Lactobacillus acidophilus (acidophilus bacillus) – 12×106 CFU, simethicone – 80 mg, folic acid - 200 μg, vitamin B12 – 1.4 μg.

Excipients: sodium benzoate preservative.

Characteristics of active ingredients:

Lactitol is a disaccharide that is virtually not absorbed in the intestine and has a mild laxative effect. Once lactitol enters the colon, it is disintegrated by local bacteria as a result short-chain fatty acids form. These substances increase the osmotic pressure and make the intestinal contents more viscous due to water retention, which leads to an increase in faecal mass, stimulation of peristalsis and normalization of the defecation process.

Also lactitol has the following prebiotic properties: stimulates the growth of beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus spp. and Bifidobacteria and inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria such as Bacteroides spp., Clostridium spp., Enterobacteria spp., and Enterococci spp.

Lactitol helps to reduce the level of ammonium in the blood and contributes to excretion of toxic substances – metabolic products in the intestine.

Symethicone eliminates flatulence, which occurs in constipation and intestinal dysbacteriosis. Simethicone reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the large intestine that causes their rupture and subsequent excretion from the body.

Lactobacillus acidophilus is lactobacilli that inhibit the activity of pathogenic and opportunistic bacteria and improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

Lactobacillus acidophilus promotes the synthesis of vitamin PP, folic acid (vitamin B9) and vitamin B6, improves immune function, and reduces the risk of constipation and diarrhea.

Intestinal dysbacteriosis is accompanied by impaired synthesis of B vitamins, including folic acid (vitamin B9) and vitamin B12.

Folic acid is a vitally important vitamin that belongs to B vitamins. It is involved in proteins and nucleic acids biosynthesis, the formation of erythrocytes, leukocytes and a number of components of nervous tissue. Folic acid supports immune system, promotes normal formation and functioning of lymphocytes. It improves tissue trophism and enhances regenerative processes. Folic acid is also a necessary component of the nutrient medium for the reproduction of beneficial intestinal bacteria.

Vitamin B12 activates fat, protein and carbohydrate metabolism. It improves tissue regeneration, normalizes the functions of the liver and nervous system and activates the blood coagulating system. Also, vitamin B12 in combination with folic acid is involved in the processes of blood formation.
